Rock Climbing in Stuttgart, Wall Climbing Theme Parks

Stuttgart is nestled between vineyards and thick woodlands. There are over 400 flights of stairs around the city (20km worth) dating back to the time when vineyards covered the whole of the city. So climbing and discovering all those stairs is enough to keep you busy.

Around Stuttgart lies a range of heights which give the city its beautiful look of an inhabited hollow surrounded by a crown of green hills. Birkenkopf with its additional 120 ft of height due to piled rubble, has become the highest point in Stuttgart. The Blautal (Blau Valley) is located south of Stuttgart, and close to the city of Ulm. The style of rock climbing at Blautal at south of Stuttgart is all about sport routes on limestone rock, with lots of pockets.  The vast majority of the routes are single pitch, though there are some multi-pitch routes up to 3 pitches long.
